As we have dicussed in the last article, Backgammon is a casino game of skill and good luck. The goal is to shift your pieces safely around the game board to your inside board and at the same time your opposition moves their checkers toward their inside board in the opposing direction. With competing player chips shifting in opposite directions there is going to be conflict and the requirement for specific tactics at specific instances. Here are the last 2 Backgammon techniques to finish off your game.

The Priming Game Strategy

If the purpose of the blocking tactic is to slow down the opponent to shift their pieces, the Priming Game tactic is to absolutely stop any movement of the opponent by constructing a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent’s chips will either get bumped, or result a bad position if she ever tries to escape the wall. The ambush of the prime can be established anyplace between point two and point 11 in your half of the board. After you’ve successfully constructed the prime to block the movement of your opponent, the competitor doesn’t even get to toss the dice, and you shift your chips and roll the dice yet again. You’ll be a winner for sure.

The Back Game Tactic

The objectives of the Back Game tactic and the Blocking Game strategy are very similar – to hinder your opponent’s positions in hope to improve your chances of succeeding, however the Back Game tactic relies on different tactics to achieve that. The Back Game tactic is generally utilized when you’re far behind your opponent. To play Backgammon with this strategy, you have to hold 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This technique is more difficult than others to play in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your chips and how the chips are moved is partially the outcome of the dice toss.
