The goal of a Backgammon game is to move your pieces around the game board and pull them from the board faster than your competitor who works harder to do the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a game in Backgammon needsrequires both tactics and good luck. How far you can move your chips is up to the numbers from tossing a pair of dice, and the way you shift your pieces are determined by your overall playing strategies. Players use different tactics in the differing stages of a game dependent on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Strategy

The goal of the Running Game technique is to lure all your checkers into your inside board and pull them off as fast as you could. This technique focuses on the pace of shifting your chips with absolutely no time spent to hit or stop your opponent’s chips. The ideal time to employ this tactic is when you believe you can shift your own chips a lot faster than your opposing player does: when 1) you have less chips on the game board; 2) all your checkers have past your opponent’s pieces; or 3) the opposing player doesn’t use the hitting or blocking plan.

The Blocking Game Plan

The primary aim of the blocking strategy, by its title, is to block your opponent’s pieces, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your pieces rapidly. As soon as you have created the blockage for your opponent’s movement with a few checkers, you can move your other checkers rapidly off the board. You really should also have a clear strategy when to back off and move the checkers that you employed for blocking. The game gets intriguing when your opposition utilizes the same blocking technique.
